Hare Krishna As you are aware, our glorious Chariot Festival – Jagannatha Ratha Yatra – will be celebrated. Prior to the Ratha Yatra, we will be performing the Snana Yatra in our temple as part of our Sunday Feast program so that many of us can get mercy of Lord Jagannatha. Attached please find our flyer. Significance of Snana Yatra: Snana yatra is a special bathing ceremony of Lord Jagannatha which takes place on the day of the full moon during the Jyestha month, normally coinciding with the month of June. It commemorates the appearance day of Lord Jagannatha. It is recorded in the Skanda Purana that when King Indradyumna installed Lord Jagannatha, he commissioned this bathing ceremony. On behalf of Sri Sri Radha Govindaji Temple, it is our humble request to all of you, and your family members to attend this wonderful celebration. We also need a lot of volunteers to make our Ratha Yatra a big success this year. If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch with us. Hare Krishna.
