SUMMARY:Jagannatha Snana Yatra Celebration 2025
DESCRIPTION:Hare Krishna As you are aware\, our glorious Chariot Festival – Jagannatha Ratha Yatra – will be celebrated. Prior to the Ratha Yatra\, we will be performing the Snana Yatra in our temple as part of our Sunday Feast program so that many of us can get mercy of Lord Jagannatha. Attached please find our flyer. Significance of Snana Yatra: Snana yatra is a special bathing ceremony of Lord Jagannatha which takes place on the day of the full moon during the Jyestha month\, normally coinciding with the month of June. It commemorates the appearance day of Lord Jagannatha. It is recorded in the Skanda Purana that when King Indradyumna installed Lord Jagannatha\, he commissioned this bathing ceremony. On behalf of Sri Sri Radha Govindaji Temple\, it is our humble request to all of you\, and your family members to attend this wonderful celebration. We also need a lot of volunteers to make our Ratha Yatra a big success this year. If you would like to volunteer\, please get in touch with us. Hare Krishna.

SUMMARY:Narasimha Jayanti Muhurat 2025
DESCRIPTION:Narasimha Jayanti on Saturday\, May 10\, 2025\nNarasimha Jayanti Sayana Kala Puja Time – 06:13 PM to 09:21 PM\nDuration – 03 Hours 08 Mins \nVaishakha Shukla Chaturdashi is celebrated as Narasimha Jayanti. Lord Narasimha was the 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. On Narasimha Jayanti day Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of Narasimha\, a half lion and half man\, to kill Demon Hiranyakashipu. \nThe combination of Vaishakha Shukla Chaturdashi with Swati Nakshatra and weekday Saturday is considered highly auspicious to observe Narasimha Jayanti Vratam. \nThe rules and guidelines for observing Narasimha Jayanti fasting are similar to those of Ekadashi fasting. Devotees eat only a single meal one day before Narasimha Jayanti. All types of grains and cereals are prohibited during Narasimha Jayanti fasting. Parana\, which means breaking the fast\, is done the next day at an appropriate time. \nOn Narasimha Jayanti day devotees take Sankalp during Madhyahna (Hindu afternoon period) and perform Lord Narasimha Pujan during Sanyakal before sunset. It is believed that Lord Narasimha appeared during sunset while Chaturdashi was prevailing. It is advised to keep a night vigil and perform Visarjan Puja the next day morning. The fast should be broken on the next day after performing Visarjan Puja and giving Dana to Brahmin. \nNarasimha Jayanti fast is broken the next day after sunrise when Chaturdashi Tithi is over. If Chaturdashi Tithi gets over before sunrise then the fast is broken any time after sunrise after finishing the Jayanti rituals. If Chaturdashi gets over very late i.e. if Chaturdashi prevails beyond three-fourth of Dinamana then fast can be broken in the first half of Dinamana. Dinamana is the time window between sunrise and sunset. \nDrikPanchang.com lists Madhyahna time to take Sankalp\, Sanyakal duration to perform Puja\, and Parana time on the next day to break the fast. All these timings are location-based hence it is mandatory to change location before noting down Puja and Parana timings. \nTo read a detailed description of Narasimha Avatara of Lord Vishnu\, please visit – Narasimha Incarnation.

SUMMARY:Rama Navami 2025
DESCRIPTION:Rama Navami on Saturday\, April 5\, 2025\nRama Navami Madhyahna Muhurat – 12:17 PM to 02:57 PM\n2025 Rama Navami.\nLord Rama was born on Navami Tithi during Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Each year this day is celebrated as birthday of Lord Rama. Lord Rama was born during Madhyahna period which is middle of Hindu day. Madhyahna which prevails for six Ghatis (approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes) is the most auspicious time to perform Rama Navami Puja rituals. The mid-point of Madhyahna marks the moment when Shri Rama was born and temples symbolize this moment as birth moment of Lord Rama. The chanting of Shri Rama and celebration reaches its peak during this time. \nDue to widespread use of western clock and Gregorian calendar people assume 12 p.m. as Madhyahna moment. This could have been correct if sunrise and sunset occur exactly at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. respectively but at most places sunrise and sunset timings are different from six O’clock. Hence the exact time to celebrate birthday of Lord Rama falls between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for most Indian cities. DrikPanchang.com list Hindu midday moment for all cities and this moment should be used to mark the birth of Shri Rama. \nAyodhya is birthplace of Lord Rama and Rama Navami celebrations in Ayodhya are remarkable. Devotees come to Ayodhya from far-flung places. After taking holy dip into river Sarayu Devotees visit Rama temple to participate in birthday celebrations. \nEight Prahar fasting is suggested during Rama Navami. Which means devotes should observe the fast from sunrise to sunrise. Rama Navami Vrat can be observed in three different ways\, casual (नैमित्तिक) -which can be observed without any cause\, continual (नित्य) – which can be observed throughout life without any desire and desirable (काम्य) – which can be observed to fulfill any desire. \nTo read detailed description about Rama Avatara of Lord Vishnu\, please visit – Rama Incarnation.
